In its continued efforts to revolutionise sustainable protein production,  the VALPRO Path project is set to host its third webinar titled:

“How Can We Optimise Value Chains to Enhance Business Opportunities for Alternative Proteins?” on October 7, 2024, from 12:00 to 12:45 CET.

This 45-minute session will explore innovative approaches to optimising value chains in the alternative protein sector, a key to unlocking business opportunities and promoting sustainable food systems. The insights from this webinar will address how collaborative business models and advanced methodologies can help scale the adoption of alternative proteins, supporting Europe’s shift towards more sustainable and resilient food production.

Webinar Topics 

The webinar will feature presentations from key partners involved in pioneering solutions within the alternative protein space. Participants will gain insights into:

  • Methodology for Value Chain Business Modelling within VALPRO Path – Presented by Tamara Glišić-Krivošija. This segment will cover the development of collaborative business models in the plant-protein sector and key market findings related to VALPRO Path food products.
  • LIKE-A-PRO Project Updates—Presented by Dr Morena Silvestrini. This section will showcase the project’s objectives and advancements in optimising value chains for alternative protein sources and developing new food product prototypes.

Following these presentations, a Discussion Corner moderated by Prof. Dr Mladen Radišić, from Foodscale Hub, will compare value chain optimisation strategies across different protein sources. Representatives from the VALPRO Path and LIKE-A-PRO projects will address challenges in scaling sustainable protein businesses and discuss future trends in the sector. An interactive Q&A will allow participants to engage directly with the speakers.
