How can nutrient tracking help consumers make healthier, more sustainable food choices? The VALPRO Path project will explore this question in a free webinar, “How Can Nutrient Tracking Inform Consumer Food Choices? – Insights from the VALPRO Path Project”, on December 16, 2024, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET.

The one-hour online session is open to all interested participants. Registration is required via ZOOM HERE. 

This one-hour session will explore how nutrient tracking can drive sustainable food production and empower consumers to make healthier choices. By different practices that bridge the gap between producers and consumers, nutrient insights have the potential to reshape the plant-based protein landscape, advancing the adoption of sustainable food systems.

The webinar will feature presentations from VALPRO Path partners presenting innovative tools and methodologies for nutrient tracking in the alternative protein sector. Participants will gain insights into:

  • Unlocking Nutrient Insights in Plant Protein Crops – Presented by Ricardo Uribe Alvarez from Teagasc. This segment will highlight how nutrient tracking (Protein) is integrated into the plant-based food supply chain, including a system dynamics modelling approach from field to product.
  • Data and Digital Tools for Nutrient Tracking – Presented by George Kyriakarakos from FarmB. This presentation will demonstrate the VALPRO Path platform’s capabilities, emphasising how it affects and helps nutrient tracking. 

The webinar will also include a Discussion Corner and Q&A Session, answering all participants’ questions.
