In its ongoing mission to revolutionise sustainable plant protein production, the VALPRO Path project is set to host its second webinar titled:
“European Consumer Perceptions of Plant-Based Protein” on July 10, 2024, from 14:00 to 15:00 CET.
The webinar will aim to review perceptions of EU consumers of plant-based protein that reflect the broader societal trends toward sustainability, health consciousness, and ethical consumption. The insights provided will help shape policies and market strategies to encourage plant-based, diets reducing environmental impact and supporting Europe’s climate goals while aligning with evolving dietary preferences and values.

The webinar will feature insights from key stakeholders within the plant-protein landscape, highlighting critical aspects of consumer perception and market dynamics related to plant-based proteins. Participants will gain valuable perspectives on:
- European attitudes towards plant-based diets in Europe – Elsa Guadarrama, Smart Protein Project.
- Consumer acceptance of plant-based products across diverse European regions – Dr. Michel Fabienne, GIANT LEAPS

Following these presentations, a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Ewen Mullins, Project Coordinator for VALPRO Path, will explore the challenges and opportunities in meeting consumer demand for plant-based proteins. Panelists from each presenting organisation will tackle topics such as overcoming adoption barriers, innovations in product development, and effective marketing strategies.
Dr. Richard Lynch, Project Manager of VALPRO Path, and Dr. Ewen Mullins will provide opening and closing remarks, summarizing key insights and outlining future collaboration opportunities.
