Quarterly Update – December 30, 2022

Launched on September 1st, 2022, the VALPRO Path project has rapidly gained visibility at both national and European levels, positioning itself as a key initiative in the development of sustainable plant protein systems.

In its first quarter, VALPRO Path was presented at several high-profile events, including the EFFoST Conference in Dublin, the “Creative Partnerships” Conference, and the inaugural conference on alternative proteins in Serbia. These engagements served as important platforms to communicate the project’s objectives and strategic vision to a diverse audience of stakeholders.

Media interest has been strong, with coverage from leading outlets such as Farm Safely and Agriland (Ireland), Mondo Agricolo (Italy), Agro TV, and Serbia’s national broadcaster RTS (feature airing soon). This early attention reflects the growing relevance of plant protein innovation across Europe.

The project has also initiated valuable collaborations with sister projects including BEATLES and Giant Leaps, fostering synergies within the broader research and innovation ecosystem.

Looking ahead to 2023, VALPRO Path will begin the development of its Innovation Production Systems (pilots), further expand stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the advancement of resilient, sustainable plant-based value chains across Europe.
