VALPRO Path was happy to be among the European projects presented at the 93rd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, engaging visitors in discussions about the future of sustainable plant protein production in Europe and the opportunities it creates for farmers, food businesses, researchers, and other stakeholders across the value chain. Through its activities, VALPRO Path highlights the importance of developing resilient and sustainable protein value chains and supporting the transition towards locally produced plant-based proteins.
By participating in this year’s Agricultural Fair, held from May 16th to May 21st, the Future Systems Hub showcased its projects through interactive presentations and activities, roundtable discussions, and technology demonstrations that are shaping the future of agrifood systems. The event attracted around 120,000 visitors, highlighting its significance as one of the key agricultural gatherings in the region and beyond.
Rich Programme Attracting Visitors From Around the World
During the fair, the Future Systems Hub booth showcased around 20 European projects implemented by the association, covering a wide range of engaging and highly relevant topics. Through a diverse programme of daily interactive activities, VALPRO Path was presented as part of these efforts, highlighting innovative approaches to sustainable plant protein production, the development of resilient protein value chains, and solutions that support farmers and food-system stakeholders in strengthening Europe’s protein autonomy.

Direct communication with FSH staff offered deeper insight into the European projects implemented by the organisation. Special focus was placed on projects providing scientific, financial, educational, and business support to various actors in the sector, including TALLHEDA, FarmBioNet, RES-WHEAT, STEP UP, WiseFood, Farmtopia, VALPRO PATH, INCiTiS-Food, OpenAgri, IPMorama, InPlasTwin, PLANTOMYC, SUNFUSION, RefreSCAR, RIA4FOOD, FUELPHORIA, CrackSense and Digi4Live. Through these projects, Future Systems Hub supports innovation development, strengthens competitiveness, and promotes the scaling of sustainable solutions in agrifood systems.
