Since the start of 2023, the VALPRO Path project has continued to strengthen its presence across Europe through a series of high-level engagements. These activities have provided valuable opportunities to share the project’s vision, showcase ongoing developments, and foster connections with key stakeholders across the plant protein value chain.
At the National Tillage Conference 2023 in Kilkenny, Ireland, project coordinator Dr. Ewen Mullins (Teagasc) presented VALPRO Path to an expert audience. His address highlighted the potential of the project to contribute to a more resilient and self-sufficient European protein system. He also emphasized the importance of innovative approaches in transitioning toward a more sustainable and independent protein future.
In another key event, students from the CHARM-EU Master’s in Global Challenges for Sustainability visited Teagasc Ashtown in Dublin. During the visit, Richard Lynch, VALPRO Path Project Manager, introduced the project’s objectives and its contribution to reshaping Europe’s plant protein landscape. The session offered future sustainability professionals direct exposure to cutting-edge research and innovation, reinforcing the importance of science-driven solutions in addressing global food challenges.
Additionally, the project was presented by partner Confagricoltura at the 2023 World FIRA Fair, a leading global event focused on agricultural robotics. Engaging with farmers, innovators, and industry leaders, the presentation underlined the vital role of cross-sectoral collaboration in accelerating the shift toward modern, sustainable protein production systems.
Through these activities, VALPRO Path continues to build a vibrant and diverse community dedicated to transforming the future of plant protein in Europe.
