Collaborative Ventures: EU-Funded Initiatives Unite to Create Sustainable Alternative Food Proteins Products

VALRPO Path is a member of the Horizon4Proteins initiative with other EU Horizon Europe funded projects GIANT LEAPS and LIKE-A-PRO. United, we forge a resilient and sustainable future for plant-based protein, where our strength lies in our collective efforts!

Four EU-funded projects working on alternative proteins, NextGenProteins, ProFuture, Smart Protein and SUSINCHAIN, launched the Horizon4Proteins initiative at the end of 2021 to work together on key aspects of the supply chain, such as: Consumer acceptance of alternative proteins, Safety and Regulatory challenges, Food applications and Sustainability.

Webinar Series

In facing climate change and natural resource scarcity, ensuring sufficient, nutritious, safe and affordable food to a fast-growing world population with changing dietary habits, will become increasingly challenging. Integration of a variety of new or alternative protein sources from both terrestrial and aquatic origin into new and/or existing processes or products will need to be explored, in order to develop and ensure more sustainable, resilient supply chains.

The Horizon4Proteins webinar series will discuss current research being conducted at European level to help develop the alternative protein sector. It invites researchers, farmers, producers and policymakers to join the conversation and contribute to the present and future of the sector. Get involved in the Horizon4Proteins by joining the next webinar!
