The core activities of DNY are the simulation and integration of state-of-the-art industrial processes, the design and development of new products. DNY conducts feasibility studies, Life Cycle Assessment, Life Cycle Cost Assessment, Social Impact Analysis and develops business plans mainly for the agrifood sector.

DNY will:

1. In collaboration with the IPs leaders define the stakeholders and the boundaries of the system for each IPS in order to build the Life Cycle Assessment methodology
2. Prepare the proper questionnaires to build a coherent Life Cycle Inventory for LCA, LCC and S-LCA Analysis.
3. Do impact assessment and interpretation of LCA and S-LCA
4. Assess the environmental and social impact of the proposed IPSs and compare them with the initial systems.
5. Identify hotspots and areas for improvements in the proposed systems, towards the minimization of environmental and social impacts.
